Crematorium NewsGlasgow Crematorium was delighted to welcome visitors for Doors Open Day 2026, offering an opportunity to explore one of Glasgow’s most historic buildings and discover more about its heritage and the work carried out here.
As Scotland’s first crematorium, our building holds a special place in the city’s history. Visitors enjoyed guided tours exploring its architecture, the cremation process and the important role the Crematorium continues to play in supporting families across Glasgow and beyond.
We were delighted by the positive feedback received, with visitors describing their experience as interesting, informative and fascinating.
We would like to thank everyone who visited, joined a tour and shared their feedback. We look forward to welcoming the public again at future events and continuing to share the history and heritage of Glasgow Crematorium with our community.
